Guest Comic — Lapierre

Marc Lapierre helps me out in today’s installment of the Imagine THIS Paternity Leave Guest Strip Extravaganza!

Marc is the illustrator for the wonderful web comic Boxcar Astronaut. I really love this comic, it reminds me of me, when I was a wee lad!

Thanks Marc! Let him know what you think!

I’d tell you how much I like this too, but I can’t because it’s the first rule:)

We CAN talk about the art though…amazing stuff, Mark. Love the half-tone dots…and the character work. I think people will be clamoring for Clovis fashion dolls now. :)

Hey Lucas, congrats on the new baby. I watched Ironman last night and decided I’m naming my first child, or next pet, Obediah. That name rocks!

    Is Clovis part bird?

I want to thank Lucas and his wife for agreeing to have another baby just so I can take over his characters for one day! I tell ya, there’s nothing this guy won’t do for his fellow cartoonists.
I’m glad everybody likes the strip. Thanks for the praise. One of my first rules of comedy is “teddy bears in big sunglasses = funny”.

Greg - I would never imply Clovis would do anything on Brad Pitt’s back.

Tyler - somehow I thought you’d be tougher to win over with this concept ;)

Tom - Yes, we can talk about the art. Please do, and continue to do so at http://www.boxcarastronaut.com or at http://www.funnierinmyhead.com!

Lemon - With Clovis, I was trying to give him that patented Brad Pitt messy-spikey hair thing.

Marc did an incredible job with his strip. Not only is the art phenomenal, the writing is topnotch. Love it Marc, thank you!!

BTW — Planning on have quintuplets next year, Marc. I’ll need about 6 more guest strips.
